Im hoping someone can help me identify the markings on my 1911a1 remington rand. I just purchased it today and ive been wanting one for awhile now. Theres a few markings on the frame that im not sure about and also the serial# 556679. Ive checked out the sites for identifying the serial numbers and markings but i may have overlooked mine or not of looked in the right place. Mamas And Papas Amelia Cot Bed Instructions. Theres a 67 on the trigger guard im not sure about and a s/8 on the frame next to the mag release. I will attach photos as soon as i figure out how to post them. Thanks in advance!

You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve.

Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.
