This likely has something to do with the method you used to install Windows 10. You'll have to upgrade your previous version of Windows using the method provided in the link below. Genuine isn't the aspect that matters when it comes to Windows 10. You'll need a product key from 7, 8, or 8.1 from a full retail version of Windows in order to activate Windows 10. Also consider creating a System Image and System Recovery Disc once Windows 10 is installed and running.
